Great Britain has commissioned an independent analysis into the persecution of Christians to search for practical steps to assist followers of a religion, which beliefs subjected to a dramatic rise in violence worldwide.
More than 215 million Christians worldwide have faced torment for their faith, it said, with Christian children and women are particularly week and often subject to sexual violence as a result of their utmost beliefs in religion.
Last year, averagely 250 Christian was killed, every month because of their extreme faith, it added.
Today, Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt is a statement said that “So often the persecution of Christians is a telling early warning sign of the persecution of every minority.”
He continued, “Today I have asked the Bishop of Truro to look at how the British government can better respond to the plight of persecuted Christians around the world,” adding that “We can and must do more.”
The examination will map Christian torments in key countries across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, analyze UK support and recommend a comprehensive policy response, said the government.
