The police were called for investigating about the suspicious packages nearby three major transport hubs in London including Heathrow and City airports and the busiest rail station of the city, Waterloo.
The packages were discovered in buildings nearby the airport and within Waterloo itself, although no service was affected. At Heathrow airport, police reply teams and the emergency services attended an incident in the administrative Compass Center of Airport evacuating the building.
The airport told, “ Heathrow Airport remains operational, flights are not impacted and passengers are able to travel as normal”. They added, “ The police are treating this as a criminal act and we will be assisting with this investigation.”
A representative for the Metropolitan police told the building had been made empty as a precaution. She said, “Specialist officers attended and the package was made safe”.
