Today, Britain’s information regulator on upheld of a small but symbolic fine of $645,000 (500,000 pounds) for Facebook over the sake of data protection law, which is related to harvesting of data by consultancy Cambridge Analytical.

Over the confirmation of its initial decision in July on the matter of fine, Information Commissioners’ office stated that the data from at least one million British Facebook users had been among the harvested by Cambridge and also used for political purpose.
