Police stated the incident of a discovery of a dead woman as a “ brutal assault” has been stated as “crazy, talented and foolish”. Rosie Darbyshire was found by the emergency service in Pope Lane, Preston at 02.00 GMT. the 27-year-old woman who had one son died at the scene. A 25 years old aged man arrested from Preston and detained in the custody according to the information of Lancashire Police. In a tribute, the family of Ms. Darbyshire told, “It doesn’t seem real that our crazy, wig-wearing, talented, goofy Rosie won’t be bursting through the door in the song anymore ”. They added, “We are utterly heartbroken and don’t doubt that this devastating news will be affecting so many more people than we could ever imagine. ” Det Ch Insp Geoff Hurst told: “Firstly my thoughts are with Rosie’s family who is understandably devastate ”.They also added, “ We have family liaison officers providing them support at this extremely difficult and sad time. We are treating this as a murder and believe that Rosie’s attacker was known to her.”
He also added, “I have a team of people working on getting to the bottom of what happened to Rosie and would like to reiterate my appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area at the time to get in touch as soon as possible as you could have vital information. ”
The body of Ms. Darbyshire was discovered nearby to the junction with Village Drive in the Ribbleton area.
