A little girl of 2-years old has been immediately taken to a hospital after she knocked down by a car’s hit in Devon.

The girl was celebrating her holidays with her family, suddenly hit by a car on road and suffered serious head injuries on Crossmead, around 18:20 BST in Lynton. This incident took place on Thursday morning.

Cornwall and Devon Police report that the child, after getting hit by the car was immediately taken to Musgrove Hospital in Taunton, Somerset.

Police force reports that the car that knocked the girl was driven by an old woman of 71-years old. Officers after getting informed about the incident visited the accident spot and immediately taken steps to close the road for almost 4 hours after the 2-years old girl hit by the grey Mitsubishi.

A nearby woman who witnessed the incident, reports that the young child “was staying in the area with her family for a week on holiday from London.”

She continued that the officers were appealing to everyone if anyone has witnessed the incident and asked to contact the police force on calling at 101 to narrate the incident for further investigation.
