After Poetry Event At Scottish Poetry Library Bravery Actor Tam Dean Burn ‘Stabbed’ - TNBC UK

Bravery actor Tam Dean Burn is on the way of stable recovery, after being stabbed in a street attack in daylight after attending a poetry event in Old Town of Edinburgh. The 60-year-old Scottish actor is thought to have been addressing at an event at the Scottish Poetry Library in honor of the poet Tom Leonard.

According to reports, Mr. Burn was attacked near the Royal Mile in clean daylight after reading in the event and then treated in hospital for his injuries.

The guest of the poetry event has been detained for one hour inside the library after attending the stabbing spot by the Emergency services.

Tam Dean Burn is now thought to be retrieved at home.

Police told a 42-year-old man has been arrested for the involvement with the incident. The well-known individuals of the art world have wished Mr. Burn well on Social media. Author Ian Rankin posted in Twitter, “ Wishing @tamdeanburn a speedy and full recovery”. Irvine Welsh wrote: “ Take care bud x”.

The director of the Scottish Poetry Library, Asif Khan has admired “courage and composure” of the staff and volunteers at the venue.

He told, “ The incident occurred outside the library after our tribute event for Tom Leonard”.

Bravery actor Tam Dean Burn played prominent roles in Outlander, Taggart, and the River City is also a political activist.

He combated in the 1992 general election in the Glasgow Central Seat for the Communist Party of Britain.

He won 106 votes in which considered as a safe Labour seat. A police representative told, “ About 4 pm on Saturday, March 2, officers in Edinburgh responded to a report of a 60-year-old man having been assaulted in Crichton’s Close, Edinburgh”.

He added, “ A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this incident.”
